Tawla Privacy Policy

Tawla (“we,” “our,” or “the application”) is a media management and video-processing application. This Privacy Policy explains how Tawla accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when you connect your Google Drive account.

Information We Access

When you authorize Google Drive access, Tawla may access only the specific files that you select, upload, create, or otherwise make available to the application.

Depending on the operation you request, this information may include:

  • Video files selected for use with Tawla.
  • File names, identifiers, MIME types, sizes, and related technical metadata.
  • Information required to upload, retrieve, stream, and process those files.
  • Google OAuth authorization tokens required to maintain the connection you approved.

Tawla requests the limited drive.file permission. This permission does not provide general access to every file in your Google Drive.

How We Use Google User Data

Tawla uses Google Drive data only to provide features requested by the user, including:

  • Uploading and storing source video files.
  • Retrieving and playing source videos within Tawla.
  • Processing, transcoding, and analyzing videos.
  • Creating clips and other user-requested media outputs.
  • Associating source files with Tawla projects.
  • Diagnosing failed uploads or processing operations.

Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to Tawla’s user-facing functionality.

Storage and Processing

Source video files may remain stored in the user’s Google Drive.

Tawla may store file identifiers, technical metadata, project information, processing status, and generated outputs using Supabase. Video files may be transferred temporarily to our video-processing infrastructure, including RunPod, when required to perform a processing operation requested by the user.

Tawla is hosted using infrastructure providers including Vercel. These providers process information only as necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the application.

Google OAuth credentials are handled by server-side systems and are not intentionally exposed to other Tawla users.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade Google user data.

Information may be processed by service providers such as Google Drive, Supabase, RunPod, and Vercel only to provide Tawla’s storage, hosting, streaming, security, and video-processing functionality.

We may disclose information when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and integrity of Tawla and its users.

Data Retention and Deletion

Source files stored in Google Drive remain subject to the user’s Google Drive settings and remain there until deleted by the user or removed through an authorized Tawla operation.

Project metadata and generated media are retained for as long as needed to provide Tawla’s functionality or until the associated project or account is deleted.

Temporary processing data is retained only for the time reasonably necessary to complete processing, diagnose failures, and maintain operational reliability.

To request deletion of information associated with Tawla, contact [email protected]. We will process valid deletion requests within a reasonable period, subject to legal, security, and backup-retention requirements.

Users may also revoke Tawla’s Google access at any time through their Google Account permissions. Revoking access prevents Tawla from requesting new access to Google Drive but does not automatically delete information previously stored outside Google Drive. A separate deletion request may be submitted by email.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet-based service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

User Choices

You may:

  • Decline to connect Google Drive.
  • Revoke Tawla’s access through your Google Account.
  • Delete source files directly from Google Drive.
  • Request access to or deletion of information associated with Tawla by contacting us.

Some Tawla features may stop working when Google Drive access is revoked or required files are deleted.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Tawla’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children’s Privacy

Tawla is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Tawla’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The latest version will remain available on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.
